Position: Facility Process Engineer - 23952

Overview

We are seeking a Facility Process Engineer for assignment in Wilton, Connecticut. The selected candidate will collaborate with on-site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity including assessment of systems, consulting system owners and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

This position is on-site

Responsibilities
  • Code assessments/interpretation, HAZOP reviews, scope development, design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gasses
  • Engineering calculations, equipment and component sizing, selection and specification
  • Support during construction and integration into the factory
  • P&IDs, layout drawings, details and equipment plans
  • Interacting with the client, contractors and site personnel
  • Designing, developing, evaluating and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD) and scope of work (SOW) documents
  • Develop construction and specifications documents through the positional (programming) process with a team
  • Oversee engineering and construction for the facility mechanical systems work including HVAC, process cooling water, wastewater, general and acid/ammonia exhaust, fire protection, plumbing, process-piping and equipment
  • Work will include retrofit of existing building systems as well as new systems
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of mechanical facilities design engineering; including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing and related mechanical facilities systems
  • 5+ years of design project delivery processes experience
  • Solid knowledge and application of the mechanical requirements per ASME and ASME B31.3, building codes, fire codes and other related standards, such as ASHRAE
  • Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of mechanical equipment and components
  • Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
  • Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
