Overview

Facilities Process Mechanical Engineer — Wilton, CT (On-site)

Pay Range: $60.96 /hr.

- $84.13 /hr.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and develop scope documents, client specifications and standards, and design requirements to produce construction documents for the installation of complex manufacturing tools and facilities infrastructure mechanical systems.
  • Technical engineering responsibilities include code assessments/interpretation, HAZOP reviews, scope development, design and oversight for piping and ducting for equipment heating, cooling, exhaust, and process chemicals and gases in some of the most complex, densely packed industrial facilities on the planet.
  • Understand site systems in question for upgrades while collaborating with trades, system/area owners and the client.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from ABET-accredited university.
  • At least 10 years of practical application of mechanical facilities design engineering, including HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems.
  • At least 5 years of design project delivery processes experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience.
  • Solid knowledge and application of the mechanical requirements per ASME and ASME B31.3, building codes, fire codes, and other related standards, such as ASHRAE.
  • Solid knowledge in practice and procedures for specifications and selection of all types of mechanical equipment and components.
  • Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications.
  • Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel.
