Job Title:

Planning Coordinator

Job Description

As a Planning Coordinator, you manage material availability for complex engineering projects in a high-tech, low-volume semiconductor environment. You ensure that logistical requirements are in place to support project execution and supplier selection, while proactively identifying risks, driving issue resolution, and aligning stakeholders. You translate project and configuration changes into clear plans for the supply chain, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and provide expert advice on product lifecycle management (PLM) to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

+ Manage project material availability planning to secure logistical requirements such as move rates and capabilities, and support supplier selection decisions.

+ Identify all relevant stakeholders and proactively inform them about updates, risks, and potential impacts related to material availability.

+ Take independent action to resolve material availability issues and drive timely decisions.

+ Lead and present Level 1 escalations and actively contribute to Level 2 and Level 3 escalations related to supply and logistics.

+ Define re-use strategies for modules and sub-components and implement these strategies in project material availability planning.

+ Perform day-to-day operational logistics tasks to support engineering projects and factory operations, including coordination of materials, work orders, and inventory tracking.

+ Think ahead to foresee potential material and logistics issues and proactively involve the appropriate stakeholders to address them.

+ Ensure clear accountability within the project team and Supplier Account Team for logistics and supply chain deliverables.

+ Proactively share key information on project material availability, critical paths, and costs with stakeholders on a consistent basis.

+ Analyze boundary conditions such as cost constraints and identify solutions that minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.

+ Drive actions to mitigate risks related to material availability, logistics, and costs, and involve the Supplier Account Team when needed.

+ Advise stakeholders on PLM activities, clearly indicating risks, opportunities, and solution directions from a supply chain and PLM perspective.

+ Present recommendations and analyses directly to senior stakeholders, ensuring that the PLM point of view is well represented.

+ Support configuration changes within engineering projects while safeguarding PLM requirements and supply chain constraints.

+ Proactively plan configuration changes in a logical sequence and help the project set the right priorities with respect to timing and costs.

+ Identify opportunities to cluster configuration changes to minimize impact on the supply chain and coordinate with Configuration Management.

+ Take the lead in aligning stakeholders when configuration changes affect multiple projects.

+ Translate project and plan updates into concrete targets and actions for project coordinators and execute these actions effectively.

+ Perform impact analyses for plan changes and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

+ Look ahead to identify, resolve, and prevent potential material availability issues arising from changes in project plans.

+ Distinguish between Product Generation Process and Issue Relation Management and drive relevant supply and sourcing issues within development and engineering projects toward timely and cost-effective solutions.

+ Understand supply chain and product and design (P&D) requirements for development and engineering projects and communicate these clearly to colleagues.

+ Contribute to defining supply chain management requirement lists (QLTCs) and explain the impact when requirements are not met.

+ Defend and advocate for supply chain requirements with stakeholders to ensure robust project execution.

+ Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in addition to daily operational responsibilities.

+ Independently lead cross-sector improvement projects from requirements specification through full deployment and verification of results.

+ Own at least one PLM work instruction and/or process…
