Research Scientist, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineer, Electronics Engineer
Introduction
ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy‑efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers – the world’s leading chipmakers – to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics.
Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands, and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona;
San Jose and San Diego, California;
Wilton, Connecticut; and Hillsboro, Oregon.
The main responsibility of the researcher is to contribute to the detailed design, analysis, and validation of advanced optical systems. The work will focus on testing and characterization of the system, including planning and executing tests, developing and maintaining test scripts in Matlab and/or LabVIEW, and performing optical simulations. The role may include testing of the system in a lab environment and/or on a full lithography tool.
Regular reporting of results is required, and the opportunity to drive or contribute to alternate design concepts may arise as test results become available. The researcher will work closely with other researchers and engineers and is expected to operate with a high degree of technical ownership and accountability.
