Senior Material Handler

Role and ResponsibilitiesMaterial Handler will be responsible for the timely processing of defective material to our suppliers and for interacting with Manufacturing, Logistics, Customer Support and Design Engineering.
As Senior Material Handler you will:
- Monitor and report damaged or questionable materials to the department supervisor
- Participate in area Job Hazard Analysis
- Handle data entry and record retention
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Adhere to all safety regulations and make recommendations
- Operate company equipment such as hand trucks, hoists, trolleys, and forklifts
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Analyze material and prioritize disposition of parts
- Handle all software key requests, receive requests, check validity, and send out keys
- Ensure accurate, timely ASML shipments to vendors
- Handle daily emergencies and priority orders for customers
- Proactively communicate across departments to anticipate problems and provide solutions
- Report on production progress, delays, and causes
- Initiate actions to correct deviations from planning and take necessary escalation steps to minimize critical shortages
- Ensure information and material flows are handled according to standard processes and plans
- Solve deviations or disruptions quickly
- Initiate improvements and participate in projects that optimize cross‑sector business processes
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3 + years of relevant logistical experience
- Affinity for high‑tech products
- Experience with an ERP system is required; specific SAP experience is an advantage
- Independent, proactive, team player with good communication skills and flexibility

Other Information- Position is located on‑site in Wilton, CT, USA and requires onsite presence.
- Typical job duties include sitting, walking, talking, hearing, using hands to type, pick, feel; stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work in a clean‑room environment for the entire shift, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves.
- May be exposed to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and currents.
- Position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. 730, et seq.)
- Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access controlled technology prior to starting work. Business demands may require ASML to consider candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
