- 1. Clinical Care
- The CRNA implements accurate, safe, patient‑centric anesthetic care.
- 2. Professional Skill
- Understands physiologic implications and anesthetic considerations, constantly monitors vital signs, capnography, and pulse oximetry per ASA guidelines.

- Ensures appropriate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory requirements and protects all forms of information from unauthorized access, modification, destruction, or disclosure.

Education: Completion of a Certified Nurse Anesthetist Training Program and a graduate of an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Educational Program. Current Connecticut Nursing License, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) licensure in Connecticut.
Experience: Preferred clinical experience as a CRNA within the specialty/service line, but not required. APRNs, PAs, CRNAs, and CNMs must be appointed to the affiliated medical staff and credentialed through the medical staff process.
Licensure: AANA Certification, State of CT RN and APRN License, ACLS, DEA Registration, and State of CT Controlled Substance Registration.

Sharp concentration, calm under stress, clear communication with surgeons and team, reassuring manner for patients, immediate and responsive anesthetic management, flexibility and adaptability.
Physical Demand: Ability to observe, communicate, and perform motor functions required for anesthesia work. Must maintain adequate vision, hearing, and tactile sense. Able to stand long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, negotiate patient care environments, and work under stress.
