Multi Skilled Operative | Lyneham, Wiltshire Up to £34,000 | Permanent, Full-Time Lyneham to Warminster, with travel between sites. Ideally based within approximately one hour of Lyneham. The Opportunity We're looking for a hands-on Multi Skilled Operative to join a busy maintenance team supporting domestic accommodation across the MOD estate, covering Lyneham to Warminster. Plastering experience is particularly important for this role.

You don't need a mechanical or electrical background, but you should be confident carrying out plastering and general building maintenance repairs to a good standard. Offering a salary of up to £34,000, a company van and fuel card, and a permanent Monday to Friday position, this is a great opportunity for someone with solid practical skills who takes pride in their workmanship.

You'll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across military domestic accommodation, completing repairs efficiently and aiming to get the job right first time. Working independently across a varied workload, you'll diagnose problems, identify suitable repair solutions and ensure work is completed safely and to a high standard. You'll also interact with residents, clients and colleagues, so a professional and customer-focused approach is essential.

Responsibilities Carry out plastering repairs and general building maintenance across domestic properties. Undertake minor building works, decorating, tiling and other general trade repairs where required. Complete planned and reactive maintenance, aiming to resolve issues correctly on the first visit. Identify faults, assess repair requirements and work independently to find practical solutions. Maintain accurate records of completed work and materials using electronic and paper-based systems.

Follow health and safety requirements and maintain high standards of workmanship. Provide a professional, customer-focused service to residents, clients and colleagues. Participate in a one-in-eight on-call rota, including Saturday cover from 8:00am to 12:30pm. What We're Looking For Practical plastering experience is essential to this vacancy. Experience carrying out general building maintenance or multi-trade repairs, ideally within domestic housing. A full UK driving licence.

The ability to work independently, troubleshoot problems and take pride in delivering quality repairs. A reliable, flexible approach and good communication skills. A professional manner when working in occupied properties. You do not need a mechanical or electrical background for this position. We're particularly interested in candidates whose strengths lie in plastering and general building fabric repairs. What's on Offer Salary of up to £34,000 per annum.
