Working in a modern, fully equipped workshop, you'll repair accident‑damaged vehicles using the latest manufacturer‑approved repair methods and equipment, alongside an experienced and supportive team.
The RoleAs an MET Technician / Strip Fitter
, you'll be responsible for dismantling, repairing and reassembling accident‑damaged vehicles to manufacturer specifications. You'll play a key role in ensuring every repair is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
- Strip and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components on accident‑damaged vehicles.
- Carry out repairs using manufacturer‑approved repair methods.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults where required.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to the highest quality standards.
- Work efficiently within a busy, fast‑paced accident repair centre.
- Collaborate with Panel Beaters and Paint Sprayers to maintain an efficient repair process.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Previous experience as an MET Technician
, Strip Fitter or Bodyshop Technician within a busy accident repair centre. - Recognised apprenticeship with an NVQ, VCQ, SVQ, ATA or equivalent qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- High attention to detail with pride in producing quality workmanship.
- Self‑motivated with a positive attitude and excellent team‑working skills.
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining exceptional standards.
- £35,000 Basic Salary.
- Full‑time, permanent position.
- 40‑hour working week.
- Monday to Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm.
