Science Teacher – Murdock High School – 2026‑2027 School Year

• Implement curricula using HQIM and activities to meet academic standards
• Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards
• Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
• Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade‑level activities, and school‑wide functions
• Be accountable for students’ mastery of academic standards
• Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues

• Bachelor’s degree
• Possession of MA teaching license in middle school science, including SEI endorsement
• Knowledge of current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
• Ability to think critically, problem‑solve, backwards plan, analyze and use data, and prioritize the needs of the student
• Teaching experience with a proven track record of producing dramatic achievement gains is ideal
• Unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels and a strong commitment to doing whatever it takes for all our students to be college‑ready
• Belief in a structured school environment that promotes a positive culture of achievement

Salary in accordance with the Agreement between the Winchendon School Committee and the Winchendon Teachers’ Association.
