Biology Teacher responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in a high‑school setting, meeting school-wide student performance goals, and fostering a positive educational climate.

• Instruct students in Biology using HQIM in a high school setting.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities.
• Create a positive educational climate for students.
• Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
• Modify Tier I instructional material accordingly throughout the year.
• Maintain electronic grade books.
• Utilize various curriculum resources.
• Integrate curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of students.
• Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities.
• Observe and evaluate student performance.
• Manage student behaviour in the classroom by invoking approved disciplinary procedures.
• Participate in department common planning time.

• Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred.
• Possess a MA teaching license, including SEI endorsement.
• Knowledge of current teaching methods, educational pedagogy, and differentiated instruction based on student learning styles.
• Ability to think critically, problem‑solve, backwards plan, analyze, use data and prioritize the needs of the student.
• Teaching experience with a proven track record of producing dramatic achievement gains is ideal.
