Middle School Adjustment Counselor
Murdock Middle School
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Support and monitor the social, emotional and behavioral progress of students.
* Provide prevention, intervention, and referral services for students with social, emotional and behavioral challenges.
* Meet with families and/or consult with external parties, such as child protective services and other service providers to bridge the communication gap with home and school.
* Interpret educational and medical evaluations.
* Conduct home assessments and support service plans with home and school to address attendance and other family issues that may be affecting a child's academic, social, emotional growth.
REQUIREMENTS:
* Licensed, or eligible for licensure as a Social Worker, School Adjustment Counselor, or LMHC
* Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and clearly with children and adults
* Knowledge of community and state agencies and programs for children and families.

Salary: $54,371-$97,866
