Description:
General Music and Band Teacher for grades 3 - 6
Teach students the importance of music education, incorporation of technology, cultural relevance/differences, instrumental lessons, band, drama, etc.
Qualifications- CT Certification in Music K-12 or DSAP eligible
- Ability to work with the unified arts team
- Discern student performance data
- Ability to participate in the SRBI process
- Effectively plan and deliver engaging/hands-on lessons
- Assess student learning
- Effectively and proactively communicate student progress toward goals
- Ability to demonstrate vocally
- Interest/experience in band/instrument development
- Interest in Drama
- Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students in the school environment and community
- Maintains a cooperative working relationship with the Principal, supervising teacher, students, parents, staff, and the public.
- Participates in professional learning activities that align with school improvement goals. Participates in staff development opportunities provided by the district
- Demonstrates a positive attitude toward work assignments
- Accepts responsibility for the work assigned and accepts feedback.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and be physically active for extended periods. Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
- Writing curriculum for Music
- Additional school-level responsibilities as assigned by the Principal or his/her designee.
- Must pass federal and local background checks.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must complete all pre-employment requirements before the start date.
Per WEA Contract
Salary Ranges: $44,456.00 - $
