Fairchild Precision Parts has been machining mission-critical components for aerospace, defense, and fluid-control customers for more than 80 years, and this CNC Lathe Setup Tech & Operator role sits right at the center of that work. You'll own the full cycle on your machines: tooling, setup, running production, and checking your own work against tight tolerances (down to ±0.0001" on some jobs).

It's a good fit for someone who wants real ownership of their machines rather than just running someone else's program, at a shop that has stayed AS9100D and ISO 9001 certified for decades.

• Tool, set up, and operate CNC lathe machines to produce parts to production needs and customer specifications
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep an organized, clean work area
• Keep detailed records of machine setups, production runs, quality checks, and maintenance
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to resolve product discrepancies and maintain measuring devices and equipment
• Flag product discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, and other production risks to your supervisor
• Suggest improvements to efficiency, communication, and quality
• Follow safety regulations and company policies

You’ll run CNC lathes with Fanuc controls. Experience on Citizen/Miyano and Daewoo/Doosan equipment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with an ERP system (Pro Shop preferred) is a plus, as is exposure to precision inspection equipment such as Keyence systems, optical comparators, concentricity gages, and profilometers.

• 3+ years of experience setting up and operating CNC lathe machines
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, including fractions and decimals
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gages
• Strong problem-solving and analytical/technical skills
• Excellent organization and planning skills, with the ability to work independently
• Effective English communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team

• Citizen/Miyano and Daewoo/Doosan machine experience
• CNC programming experience
• ERP experience, Pro Shop in particular
• Experience with Keyence, optical comparator equipment, concentricity gages, and profilometers
