Responsibilities
  • Developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conducting regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Providing safety training and education to all employees, including CPR, First Aid, and Forklift operation.
  • Managing and maintaining records of all safety-related incidents and conducting thorough investigations to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborating with management and employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety and occupational health policies and procedures.
  • Preparing and presenting regular safety reports to management, highlighting trends, and suggesting improvements.
  • Responding to emergency situations and coordinating with emergency response teams as necessary.
  • Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's degree in Safety, Occupational Health, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Certifications including Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER), and Forklift Certified Trainer (can be obtained after hire).
  • Proficiency in CPR and First Aid.
  • Excellent knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations, including OSHA standards.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively deliver training and presentations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards.
  • A proactive approach to safety and health, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
