Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit

7p-7a, 4 shifts every 6 weeks required

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living – personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support.
• Evaluates learning needs of patients and/or families and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Advocates for physical and emotional well-being of patients.

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 10 days of hire
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 45 days of hire
• Handle With Care certification within 30 days of hire
• Associate Degree in Nursing – required
• KY RN state licensure or compact licensure – required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing – preferred
