American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and active KY or compact RN licensure.

• Community hospital setting on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Combination unit
• Med/Surg Tele specialty caring for adult through geriatric patients
• Patient ratios of 5:1 and 6:1, with a high volume of admissions and discharges on day shift
• Common diagnoses include total joint replacement, general surgery, COPD, diabetes, dementia, dialysis, stroke, NSTEMI, CHF, and A-fib
• Uses Baxter IV pumps, Omnicell, JP drains, hemovac drains, ostomy care, NG tubes, tube feeding, and PEG tubes
• EHR system is Med Host
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to step-down for Med/Surg coverage as needed
• No call requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• ADN or BSN required
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with IVs, NG tubes, PICC and central line care, and catheter care required
• Experience with post-op surgical care for general surgery, total knee and hip replacement, hernia repair, and colectomy required
• Preferred experience includes foley catheters, IV insertion, telemetry, tube feeding, stroke care, and post-op care
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment required

• Facility is a 79-bed community hospital accredited by The Joint Commission
• Provide direct patient care including IV therapy, drain management, ostomy care, and tube feeding
• Team-oriented environment requiring a self-starter mentality and strong communication skills
• Navy and black scrubs required; casual wear and Crocs are not permitted
• Must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
