Analytical Research And Development Scientist
Payrate: $28.85 - $28.85/hr this position is responsible for performing analytical research and development work focusing on the analytical activities for product/process development. The role contributes towards successful regulatory filings and approvals to launch new products. The incumbent will work closely with product development and process transfer teams to provide analytical results in a timely fashion and with proper data interpretation for drug product development through various phases, including feasibility/development, tech transfer, registration, and validation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in method development, method transfer, method verification, and method validation under direct supervision.
- Conduct routine release and stability testing in support of clinical development and registration activities.
- Coordinate and prioritize tasks to support manufacturing and project timelines.
- Adhere to laboratory safety processes and procedures, working safely with chemicals of varying potency.
- Perform accurate testing and execute protocols to meet customer and production timelines.
- Follow ICH guidelines and other regulatory guidelines as needed.
- Maintain laboratory notebook documentation with clear and legible handwriting.
- Contribute to the improvement of processes and procedures in the lab.
Qualifications
- B.S in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or Life Sciences (Preferred in Analytical Chemistry).
- At least 1 year of analytical testing/research experience using HPLC/GC/UV, etc.
Skills
- Understanding of analytical chemistry calculations such as concentrations, molarity, and Beer's Law.
- Ability to perform basic statistical data analysis.
- Proficient in English with effective communication skills.
- General computer literacy, including the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to perform analytical testing while standing for long periods of time.
- Basic understanding of analytical chemistry and chromatographic techniques.
- Ability to perform/assist with photostability studies, dose dump studies, solubility, polymorphism, and hygroscopy studies.
- Ability to work well under pressure and maintain efficiency both individually and as part of a team.
- Quick learner with good hands-on ability.
- Ability to multi-task efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
Pay Transparency:
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $28.85 - $28.85/hr non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
