Position: Civil Concrete Finishing Specialist (Formwork, Reinforcement & Saw Cutting)

Imagine standing over a fresh pour, reading the surface like a map—checking slump, planning the screed passes, and visualizing the final broom or trowel finish. You set the forms for sidewalks, curbs, and gutters with the right pitch and depth, then bring the concrete to life: level, edge, and texture it to spec. With rebar or wire mesh in place and expansion joints installed, you deliver work that lasts—then cut crisp joints in concrete (and asphalt when needed) to control cracking and enhance durability.

What you’ll do Smooth and finish concrete for driveways, walks, sidewalks, roads, and curbs

Assemble, align, and secure formwork for sidewalks, walls, pillars, and more Level with wood or aluminum screeds; finish with floats, trowels, edgers, and brooms

Accurately evaluate slump; calculate needs and coordinate concrete ordering

Install reinforcement (rebar/wire mesh) and expansion joints

Perform saw cutting in concrete and asphalt

Maintain site cleanliness; collect and secure tools/equipment daily to remove hazards

Follow safety policies and procedures; use the right tool for every task

Wear required PPE throughout the shift

Contribute to heavy highway and other construction projects through strenuous manual labor

Shovel, rake concrete, and handle heavy lifting routinely

Operate trucks and other moving equipment when needed

Take on additional responsibilities as required or assigned
