Our agency client is seeking a creative and detail-oriented UX/UI Designer to join their creative team on a freelance basis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive and engaging user experiences and will be responsible for designing user interfaces that meet the needs of their clients' customers.
This will be a mostly remote role but the client would prefer someone in the Greater Boston area who would be able to come on-site for creative meetings if needed. They are looking to kick off the initial project as soon as possible and will be about 10 hours a week for the next 4 weeks. After the first initial project, this does have a possibility to extend and/or turn into a long-term partnership.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct user research to understand user needs and behaviors.
- End-to-End Design:
Lead the design process from wire framing and prototyping to high-fidelity UI handoffs. Can also work with a team to jump in at different points in the process as needed. - Create wireframes and prototypes for new features and products.
- Design high-fidelity mockups that align with our brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure designs are feasible and meet project requirements.
- Iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends and tools to improve the design process.
- 4+ years of experience as a UX/UI Designer or similar role.
- Strong portfolio showcasing wireframes, prototypes, and UI designs.
- Highly proficient in design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.
- Experience in creating high-fidelity mockups and user flows.
- Understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Nice to have:
Proficiency in Sketch, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. - Nice to have:
Background in graphic design and user research.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
