Job DescriptionWinchester High School is seeking a reliable long‑term substitute Spanish Teacher who is passionate about creating a student‑centered environment conducive to the intellectual, social, and emotional development of high school students.
Responsibilities- Teach Spanish in a manner that promotes student‑centered learning and meets ACTFL and MA World Language Frameworks.
- Apply proficiency‑based language acquisition strategies focusing on interpretive, interpersonal, presentational, and intercultural communication.
- Use performance‑based assessments to evaluate student skills and inform instruction.
- Collaborate on curriculum development and continuous improvement.
- Implement social and emotional teaching practices and adapt instructional plans to meet all student needs.
- Valid DESE Teacher Certification.
- At least 3 years of relevant teaching experience (preferred).
- Master’s degree (preferred).
- Citizenship, residency or work visa requirements met.
- Strong knowledge of ACTFL and MA World Language Frameworks.
- Experience with proficiency‑based language acquisition and performance assessment.
- Growth mindset, collaboration, and curriculum development.
- Commitment to social and emotional teaching practices and flexible assessment skills.
