Finance Committee Member
We are seeking a Finance Committee member to review the Town Manager’s proposed budget, schedule public hearings, and prepare recommendations for the Spring Town Meeting. Committee meetings will take place mid‑February through May, with two evening meetings per week and additional sub‑committee meetings.
Key responsibilities:
- Review and analyze the Town Manager’s proposed budget annually.
- Schedule public hearing prior to the Spring Town Meeting.
- Prepare the committee’s recommended budget for town meeting action.
- Prepare recommendations on all town meeting articles involving expenditure of town funds.
- Attend two evening meetings per week and sub‑committee meetings as required.
Qualifications:
- Registered voter for a term expiring 2029.
Appointments will be made jointly by the Town Moderator, the Chair of the Select Board, and the Chair of the Finance Committee.
