Long Range Financial Planning Committee (Select Board)

The Select Board seeks three members for its Long Range Financial Planning Committee, a cross‑board working group that designs and maintains a multi‑year financial model for the Town’s budget and researches measures to strengthen municipal finances.

• Revenues
• Expenses
• Forecast for operating reserves
• Implementation guidelines for revenue and expense targets, budgetary flexibility triggers, and reserve account controls

Committee membership includes representatives from the Select Board, School Committee, Finance Committee, municipal and school staff, with the Capital Planning Committee invited to nominate an observer.

• Professional experience in municipal or public finance, ideally within Massachusetts communities or at the state level
• Experience with long‑range financial planning
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Availability to attend meetings and update the financial plan as needed

Meetings every other month (six times per year). Commencement in summer 2026.

Two‑year term with potential renewal by Select Board vote.
