Assistive Technology Specialist Winchester Public Schools seeks a district-wide Assistive Technology Specialist for grades PreK-12. 1. Student Evaluation & Implementation
- Conduct comprehensive AT evaluations and screenings for students (PreK-12) to determine necessary tools for academic access.
- Participate in IEP and 504 meetings to provide expert recommendations.
- Develop implementation plans that integrate AT devices (high-tech and low-tech) into the student’s daily routine.
- Provide direct training to students on how to use their specific AT devices (e.g., AAC devices, speech-to-text software, adaptive keyboards).
- Communicate with parents to manage AT tools successfully.
- Provide professional development for staff on device maintenance and classroom integration.
- Consult with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
- Manage the district’s AT tools, including tracking, maintenance, and software updates.
- Stay current on emerging trends in accessibility, Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and instructional technology.
- Coordinate with the digital learning team to ensure specialized software is compatible with district networks and privacy standards.
- Maintain expertise in accessibility features for Chromebooks and iPads.
- Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly instructions.
- Be proficient with Google for Education apps (Chrome, Docs, Sheets, ...).

Job Requirements- At least 1 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
- Master degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
