We are seeking compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our skilled nursing facility in Winchester, MA. As a CNA at Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, you will play a vital role in providing hands-on care, comfort, and daily support to our residents while working alongside a collaborative and supportive nursing team.
Job Summary:
As a CNA, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and supporting our residents’ overall well-being. You will work closely with our licensed nursing staff to ensure the highest level of care and compassion is provided to each resident.
Responsibilities:
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, oral care, and incontinence care
Assist with meals, including feeding residents as needed
Support residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and wheelchair assistance
Turn and reposition residents as required
Assist with range-of-motion exercises
Respond promptly to call lights and resident requests
Measure and record vital signs, weight, intake, and output
Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to the nursing staff
Maintain a clean, neat, and safe resident environment
Complete daily documentation accurately and on time
Perform other duties as assigned
Provide respectful, compassionate, resident-centered care at all times
Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered Massachusetts CNA certification (required before start date)
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
CNA or caregiver experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting (preferred, but new grads welcome)
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to remain calm and act appropriately in emergency situations
Critical thinking skills and the ability to handle situations with tact
