Position Overview
Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse travel contract in Winchester, Massachusetts, featuring an 8-week night-shift assignment, competitive weekly pay, and a 36-hour schedule. - Hours: 36 hours per week; 72-hour biweekly guarantee
- Time-Off Guidelines: No more than three requested days off; holiday time off is not approved
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Massachusetts
- At least 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical Telemetry nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent Epic electronic health record experience
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to float between units
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients across assigned units
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and changes in patient condition
- Complete patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Accurately document patient care and clinical updates in Epic
- Float between units as needed while maintaining a high standard of safe, compassionate patient care
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
