Middle School School Counselor LOA 1532

McCall Middle School is seeking a DESE licensed Guidance Counselor to cover a LOA from August 31, 2026 through November 23, 2026 or thereabouts.

The Middle School Counselor supports students in grades 6–8 by fostering their academic, social and emotional growth and overall well‑being. The counselor provides individual and small‑group counseling, collaborates with teachers and families to address student needs, and helps create a safe, inclusive school climate. Key responsibilities include providing intervention to support students' academic success, social and emotional skill development, and behavioral and emotional challenges.

The school counselor facilitates crisis intervention when needed, and connects families with appropriate school and community resources. Counselors also contribute to school‑wide initiatives that promote equity, belonging, and healthy adolescent development.

• Appropriate DESE licensure is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Full‑time.
