Medical Assistant – Full-Time, Day Shift

Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas, a Joint Commission-accredited hospital, is seeking a Certified
Medical Assistant to join our team in Winchester, Tennessee. Our facility proudly serves patients across south-central Tennessee with two locations — Winchester and Sewanee — offering exceptional care in a supportive, team-based environment.
The Certified
Medical Assistant performs routine clinical and administrative duties to support daily operations within the medical group. Responsibilities include assisting with patient intake, recording vital signs, managing documentation, preparing exam rooms, and supporting the clinical team. The MA may also float to other offices or clinics as needed to ensure smooth operations.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire.
- Licensure: Current Medical Assistant certification required.
- Skills: Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
