About the role:

To work as part of the hotel team to deliver and maintain a first‑rate guest experience through the focus on the delivery of market‑leading customer service. To add value to the efficient and profitable running of your hotel in order to achieve your business and personal objectives, along with those of your team and the hotel.

This is a dynamic, customer-facing role where you will be an integral part of the hotel team, focused on delivering a first-rate guest experience. You will work across various areas of the hotel, ensuring the efficient and profitable running of our lodges.

As a Hotel Leisure assistant you will deliver a first-rate guest experience through market-leading customer service and contributing to the efficient, profitable running of the hotel. This involves working across the restaurant and bar to achieve sales targets, performing kitchen duties including food preparation and cooking a small menu while adhering to food safety, and carrying out physically demanding ‘behind the scenes’ housekeeping tasks.

You will be self-motivated, flexible, and committed to continuous learning and supporting all areas of the hotel as needed.

Pay Rate: £12.40 per hour

Contract type: Fixed term temporary contract

Location: Leckford

Hours: Part time (14.25hrs average weekly hours) Friday & Saturday 17:00‑22:00, with alternate Tuesday & Sunday 17:00‑22:00

Key Responsibilities
  • Shares knowledge and expertise with colleagues to develop department and hotel performance.
  • Demonstrates flexibility to support across other areas of the hotel and departments when required.
  • To be a brand ambassador by being a warm and friendly partner who provides a consistently outstanding customer experience that is unrivalled in the marketplace.
  • To meet all legislative requirements for your home department and other areas of the hotel that you may work across.
  • Deliver agreed key performance measures for your department.
  • To resolve customer queries or complaints at the first point of contact.
  • Where applicable, achieve sales targets by actively promoting the hotel offer and upselling where possible.
  • Offer advice and recommendations based on guest requirements.
  • Carry out stock control processes to manage wastage and minimise loss.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for continuous improvement and greater efficiency.
Essential skills you'll need
  • IT skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience with basic food preparation.
Desirable skills you'll need
  • Experience working in a restaurant or bar or willingness to learn.
  • Experience working in a housekeeping/cleaning role or willingness to learn.
