As a Bank Chef at Barchester, you will deliver hotel/restaurant standards without split shifts and long weeks, assisting the Head Chef in creating nutritious, flavoursome, and well‑balanced menus while tailoring meals for residents. • Personable and warm approach with a genuine interest in the wellbeing of residents
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent
• Experience in leading and inspiring a team
• Good understanding of nutrition
• Experience working with fresh seasonal food
• Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within a home setting
• Good understanding of HACCP

• Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
• Prepare fresh produce to deliver high‑quality, wholesome dishes cooked to the highest standards
• Create a warm, efficient and enjoyable kitchen environment
• Work within budget constraints
• Complete regular audits
• Manage stock control
• Assist in leading and motivating the kitchen team
