Skilled Groundworker

Position Summary

Are you an experienced Skilled Groundworker with finishing, drainage and groundwork experience looking for your next contract? Workshop Recruitment are recruiting for a Skilled Groundworker to join a busy site in Winchester. This is a hands‑on role working on a civils project, carrying out all aspects of groundwork, including drainage, finishing works and preparing areas for installation. The successful Skilled Groundworker will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail and be able to work safely around live services, covering all aspects of Groundworks.

This role involves installing a sample chamber, among other careful products and installations, so experience with careful excavation and working around existing services is essential. Two recent work references will be required.

• Skilled CSCS Card.
• EUSR Water Hygiene.
• EUSR Cat 1 & 2 (Cable Avoidance Tools).
• First Aid (minimum 1‑day course).
• SCW Medical (Safety Critical Worker – Breaking Ground).

• Carry out all aspects of groundwork.
• Complete drainage and duct installation.
• Undertake finishing groundworks to a high standard.
• Prepare and set up work areas for installation.
• Assist with the installation of a sample chamber.
• Carry out careful excavation around existing services.
• Support the site team with general site duties.
• Work safely and maintain high health and safety standards.

• Proven experience as a Skilled Groundworker.
• Experienced in drainage, finishing works and all aspects of groundwork.
• Able to work accurately around underground services.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively within a team.
• Physically fit and happy carrying out manual groundwork duties.
• Able to provide two recent work references.
• Live within a reasonable travelling distance of Winchester.
• Concrete, sand and cement, skilled Groundworker skills.

£22 per hour. Weekly pay. Immediate start. Opportunity for further work with a reputable contractor.
