The day-to-day (simple + honest)You'll be out on domestic social housing properties, doing work like:
- Washing down / cleaning affected areas
- Mould treatments and prep
- Stain blocking / sealing
- Re-decorating (walls, ceilings, woodwork depending on the job)
- Leaving a proper finish - not "good enough for social housing", but good enough for you
- It's practical work. Hands-on. Visible results.
Because it's not chaos for the sake of it.
- You'll have structure - planned jobs, sensible scheduling
- You'll have the right materials - not being asked to perform miracles with the wrong kit
- You'll be treated like a tradesperson - trusted to do the job properly
- You'll get that "I made it better" feeling - regularly
- You'll be doing work that matters - especially for families, children, and vulnerable tenants
This role suits someone who's quietly proud of their work.
Not loud. Not flashy.
Just reliable, skilled, and bothered about standards.
What we're looking for (no nonsense)- Experience washing/prepping and decorating (especially around damp & mould)
- A good eye for finish
- Someone who turns up, gets on, and treats residents with respect
- Full UK driving licence( van and fuel card provided, along with all materials)
