SummarySupport Rubbermaid Commercial Products by performing secondary purchasing for parts and general supplies at best cost, coordinating the repair of asset parts and tools, and maintaining inventory levels to reduce machine downtime. This role is the primary inventory management administrator for the Maintenance department and will proactively execute processes within the inventory system.
Job Responsibilities- Primary Function:
- Perform parts inventory management, including parts receiving, stocking, cycle counting, kitting/prep for work orders, labeling/RFID tagging, rotable/repairable part management, and inventory area cleaning.
- Secondary Function:
- Request, analyze, and document quotations; negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers.
- Secure quotes from OEMs, preferred and approved suppliers.
- Document quotes in Micromain, discern supplier priority, and revise as costs change.
- Initiate purchase orders and amendments for parts, services, and special tools.
- Create new part numbers and descriptions in Micromain.
- Initiate the repair process, including requests for Return Material Authorizations (RMA).
- Create Miscellaneous Shipping Orders and Fed Ex labels to ship parts.
- Maintain all original Requests for Purchase and packing slip materials.
- Assist in creating detailed Standard Operating Procedures for Tool Crib processes and work instructions.
- Assist with Maintenance Coordination within the Work Order Systems.

- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Micromain Inventory System, SRM, Intranet and Internet searches for potential new suppliers and obsolete part purchase solutions
- Daily lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Typing speed of 30 WPM
- Minimum of one-year experience working in a manufacturing environment and purchasing function
- Other duties may be assigned as needed to fulfill the needs of this role and for the business.
