Shenandoah University’s Department of Physical Therapy is accepting applications for a Program Coordinator. This is a part-time, benefited position located in the Health Professions Building in Winchester, Virginia.
This individual supports the faculty, staff, and students within the Division of Physical Therapy and the Division of Anatomy and Physiology to facilitate efficient and effective daily operations in a professional, friendly, and timely way. In addition, this individual supports the admissions activities and processes for the Post-Professional Doctor of Physical Therapy and Graduate Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology programs as well as visiting student programming within the Division of Physical Therapy.
The position will be housed at the Health Professions building in Winchester and there may be travel needed to the Scholar Plaza, Loudoun site as well as off-campus travel related to recruitment.
Specific Responsibilities/
Essential Functions:
- Provide clerical support to facilitate daily operations of the Division(s)/Program(s).
- Market and recruit for the respective courses and programs
- Process and screen applications for admission
- Facilitate student onboarding
- Communicate with the registrar's office and Hornet Central: course building, course planning, student registration, the graduate catalog, graduation clearance, transfer credit forms
- Maintain student and alumni records
- Prepare part-time faculty contracts and honoraria
- Manage reservations of learning spaces for faculty and students within the respective programs
- Track program expenditures and processes budget request forms
- Assist with planning and execution of major annual events in the Divisions including Hooding ceremonies, new student orientation, and annual retreats
- Assist with the preparation of annual and self-study reports for accreditors
