TFC Poultry recently expanded and opened our second poultry production plant in Winchester, Virginia, as such we're currently hiring for our Commercial Director
.
The Commercial Director will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will lead and develop the commercial team while owning both revenue generation and raw material sourcing by creating structured accountability and aligning customer demand with supply to drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesLead & Develop a High-Performance Team
Build, lead, and coach a scalable Sales, Procurement, and Customer Service Team
Establish clear roles, expectations, and accountability across team members
Implement training, coaching, and development plans to elevate performance
Lead weekly cadence (pipeline reviews, forecasting, procurement planning)

Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy across products segments
Sustain and develop key account relationships suppliers and customers
Own pricing strategy in alignment with margin targets and market conditions
Expand market share through both new customer acquisition and existing account growth
Procurement & Supply OptimizationLead sourcing strategy for poultry raw materials and input products
Develop key supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, volume, and terms
Align procurement with plant capacity, yields, and customer commitments
Manage supply risk, availability, and cost fluctuations in dynamic markets
Ensure procurement decisions support both margin and operational efficiency
Sales-Operations AlignmentPartner closely with operations, production, and finance
Align sales commitments with plant throughput, yields, and labor efficiency
Lead S&OP-style planning to balance supply, demand, and profitability
- Build disciplined CRM and reporting structure (pipeline, forecast, margins)
- Develop KPIs and dashboards for both sales and procurement performance
- Bring structure to pricing, contracting, and customer profitability analysis
- 7+ years in protein, poultry, meat, or food ingredient industries
- Experience leading sales teams and/or procurement functions
- Strong understanding of commodity dynamics + value-added selling
- Proven ability to build teams and drive accountability
- Experience working closely with manufacturing/operations environments
- Hands‑on leader with a "roll-up-your-sleeves" mindset
- Willing to travel a minimum of 50%
