REC Summer Campteam as a Program Assistant!
You'll help create a safe and engaging environment for elementary-aged children (5-12) across 10 Frederick County Public Schools, leading exciting activities like arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor games. This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy working with kids and want to be part of a supportive team that values fun, learning, and community.

Monday
- Friday | 40 hours per week
6:15 AM – 6:00 PM (Occasional overtime on field trip and pool days)
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and engage children in recreational activities, including sports, crafts, and games.
- Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Support children with daily tasks, including transitions between activities.
- Maintain program records and assist with facility cleanliness.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners.
- Follow department and school policies to ensure a safe experience for all.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years at the time of application required.
- Willingness to work indoor/outdoor during the summer season.
