We’re looking for the following job positions:
Estimator, Construction Project Assistant.

Perform quantitative take‑offs on new custom homes and remodeling projects. This position requires a passionate and detail‑oriented individual who can meet deadlines and is focused. The ideal candidate will have significant estimating experience in residential construction and the following responsibilities:

• Prepare and review plan‑specific budgets, including reviewing cost estimates.
• Review master take‑offs against plan‑specific estimates and make appropriate changes to ensure correct take‑offs are maintained at the master level.
• Work with trade partners, vendors, architectural services and the production department to reconcile discrepancies in take‑offs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the residential construction industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; detail‑oriented.
• Competency with Microsoft Office; experience with CAD design is a plus.
• Ability to perform job tasks accurately and efficiently, with minimal supervision and a high level of integrity.
• Ability to make cost‑effective decisions quickly and easily.
• Positive representation of the company with an honest and forthright attitude.

Foreman Builders, Inc., the premier custom home builder of the Northern Shenandoah Valley, is hiring a Construction Project Assistant to join our team and help guide homeowners through the exciting process of building or remodeling their dream home.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an eye for design and detail, and wants to be part of a collaborative team where your contributions truly matter. You’ll coordinate the client selections process, support estimating and budgeting, and keep projects running smoothly from start to finish.

• Guide clients through the selection of finishes, fixtures and materials.
• Track selections, budgets and timelines to keep projects on schedule.
• Communicate regularly with clients, vendors and trade partners.
• Work with suppliers and showrooms to source pricing and samples.

• Assist with documentation and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate project records in the project management system (CoConstruct).
• Update budgets, change orders and allowance tracking.
• Support communication between clients, vendors and the field team.
• Help collect vendor bids, compare quotes and perform simple takeoffs.
• Track cost updates and ensure selections align with budgets.

• 2–5 years of experience in custom home building, residential construction, design coordination or project administration.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and communication skills.
• A friendly, client‑focused attitude – you enjoy helping homeowners bring their vision to life.
• Basic knowledge of residential construction materials and processes.
• Experience with project management or estimating software (CoConstruct, Buildertrend or similar) a plus.
• Estimating or budgeting experience is a strong plus.
