The School of Business seeks an economist who will contribute to core undergraduate instruction while supporting upper-level and graduate coursework in macroeconomic theory and monetary economics. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring strong and consistent coverage across the undergraduate curriculum and also teach in our graduate programs.
Primary teaching needs include Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, Money and Banking/Monetary Economics, and upper-level electives aligned with the candidate's expertise. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to teach macroeconomic theory, monetary policy, financial systems, and/or related applied topics. Expertise that connects economics with finance, global markets, banking systems, or public policy is especially welcome.
Responsibilities:
* Teach a standard course load (typically three courses per semester)
* Contribute to curriculum development and assessment
* Maintain an active scholarly agenda consistent with AACSB standards
* Participate in service to the department, school, and university
Required Skills
Required:
* Ph.D. in Economics (ABD considered for Assistant Professor rank with degree completed by start date)
* Evidence of effective undergraduate teaching or strong teaching potential Demonstrated expertise in macroeconomics and monetary economics
Preferred:
* Experience teaching intermediate macroeconomics and/or money and banking Ability to contribute to principles-level instruction
* Applied or policy-oriented research interests
* Experience working within a business school or AACSB-accredited environment
* Interest in interdisciplinary collaboration (e.g., finance, global economics, healthcare policy)
