Summary:
Assist the secondary school principal in the areas of instructional leadership and supervision, curriculum development, staff development, after‑school programming, and discipline referrals.
Qualifications- Virginia teaching license with endorsement in Administration and Supervision Pre‑K – 12 or eligibility for such
- 3 year minimum of successful teaching experience, preferably at the middle school level
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional practices and curriculum development
- Ability to build positive school culture through cultivation of positive relationships
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills necessary for working effectively with students, teachers, parents, and administrators
Range based on the Assistant Principal Salary Scale for 5‑8 grades is $92,700 – $142,756; for 9‑12 grades is $97,850 – $150,687.
