Preschool Teacher Aide

St. Agatha Academy, Winchester, KY, is Catholic PreK-8th grade school. We are looking for a part-time morning (7:30-12:30) teacher’s aide in our preschool classroom. We are looking for an energetic, responsible, loving assistant to help our Lead Teacher with curriculum, transitions, and promoting self-help skills with young children.

• Stimulates emotional, intellectual, and social growth of students by implementing educational programs and activities tailored to assigned class.
• Provides safe environment by maintaining orderly, clean, and appealing facilities; following standards and procedures; complying with legal recommendations.
• Encourages development of student self-control by utilizing classroom management and modeling techniques.
• Assists students in lunch room.
• Ensures continuous care of children by assuming teaching responsibilities when teacher is absent.

• Experience working with students in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
• Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
• Ability to supervise and work with young students in the classroom or at play.
• A compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others succeed.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with students, parents, and staff.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all individuals.
• High School diploma is required.
• ETRIS certification a must.
• CMG Connect certification and background check approved.
