This full-time Electronics/Electrical Engineering Technology faculty position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality, hands-on instruction in electronics, electrical systems, and related technologies to a diverse community college student population. The instructor will teach both foundational concepts and applied skills designed to prepare students for entry-level careers in the electronics industry. Coursework within the program includes basic electronic principles, workplace and equipment safety, DC and AC circuit analysis, electronic components, diagnostics, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electronic devices and applications, and system-level troubleshooting.
Faculty members play a vital role in creating a positive, caring, and dynamic learning environment that fosters student success, values diversity, promotes community engagement, and reflects Laurel Ridge Community College's mission and values. The successful candidate will support the goals of the College and the School of Professional and Technical Studies while adhering to all Virginia Community College System (VCCS) policies and procedures.

- Minimum of five years of current/recent occupational experience in electronics plus a high school diploma.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to present instructional material clearly and accessibly.
- Effective collaboration skills and the ability to work with diverse groups of students, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Proficiency or interest in gaining proficiency in one of more of the following technical fields: aviation, drones, robotics/automation, artificial intelligence, data science, information technology.
- Associate or Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience in industrial electrical, mechanical systems, automation, PLCs, robotics, or related fields,
- Teaching experience in secondary education, higher education, adult education, or corporate training environments.
