Instructional Aide – School Based

One of our clients is seeking an Instructional Aide to provide services to children (K‑12) in the Northern, VA area for the 26‑27 school year.

Compensation: $19.00+/hour.

• Use effective lesson delivery techniques to provide instruction to students and facilitate classroom discussions in a variety of subjects including Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, etc.
• Collaborate with the general education teacher to suggest appropriate modifications and/or accommodations to the lesson plan; ensure implementation through team teaching, co‑teaching, in either small group or whole class; and assess overall progress of the students.
• Provide one‑on‑one or small‑group support for students, assisting with academic tasks, behavior management, and social skills development.
• Complete reports on attendance, student progress, and other documentation as required by the administrative team.
• Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, recess, and other school‑related events.
• Provide instructional support to students with special needs, ensuring they have the accommodations and modifications necessary for their success.
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents regarding student needs, progress, and any concerns.
• Develop and maintain positive and supportive relationships with all students and staff.

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Associates Degree, Minimum 60 Credit Hours, or Paraprofessional Certification.
• Minimum of 6 months working with children.
• Experience with Autism and working in a multicultural setting serving youth.
