Adjunct Faculty

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for a Communications adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus in Middletown, Virginia.
The course will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays during the daytime.

Compensation and Benefits:
The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits. However, the position may offer educational benefits through our professional development and educational assistance policies.
Special Assignments
- May be required to perform other duties as assigned. May be required to assist the agency or state government generally in the event of an emergency declaration by the Governor.
KSA's/Required Qualifications
- Required Masters in Communication or Masters with 18 credits of Communications. The ability to use instructional technology is required.
Additional Considerations
- Occupational experience in the field. Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools. College level teaching experience, online experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
