Auxiliary Adjunct Assistant Professor - Theatre​/Voice

Position Responsibilities

• Teach 9-12 credit hours per semester of undergraduate coursesin theatre and voice with a preferred area of expertise in s tagecombat, directing, play writing, period styles, and movement foractors and singers.
  • Directing responsibilities will include both theatre and opera
  • Abilities in technical theatre are also desired
• Develop and update course curricula, including syllabi,lectures, and assignments.
• Advise and mentor students on academic and career paths.
• Engage in scholarly or creative activities, which may include research, publications, presentations, or artisticproductions.
• Participate in departmental, college, and university service,such as committee work, program development, and student recruitment.

• Education:
  
  The applicant should hold an MFA (or equivalent) intheatre, production, or opera
• Experience:
  
  The successful candidate will possess the following: a demonstrated record of excellence in collegiate-level teaching, with proven experience and expertise/focus inundergraduate education.
• Skills:
  
  Subject area(s) within theatre/vocal production and performance may vary. Candidates must be able to work with adynamic and diverse faculty, and effectively contribute to aperformance-based and scholarly conservatory environment.

Pre-employment background check will be required, and a satisfactory driving record may be required as a condition of hire.
