Adjunct Faculty - Communications

Laurel Ridge Community College is accepting applications for adjunct, part-time faculty (day, evening and weekend) positions for a Communications adjunct. Adjunct Faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course, semester basis as needed. Responsibilities include teaching college level courses, which may include distance learning on and off campus courses during the day, evening and weekends. This position will be located on the Middletown Campus in Middletown, Virginia.

The course will be held on Mondays and Wednesdays during the daytime.

applicants must reside in Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland or DC. Adjunct/Continuing Education Faculty listings are on a continuous, open until filled basis. Applicants will be contacted on an as needed basis. Submission of on-line application must also include unofficial transcripts of all college work completed (cover letters and resumes are optional, but recommended). The credit hour pay range is $794.00-$1,375.50. The position is part time and as such is not eligible for health or leave benefits.

Required Masters in Communication or Masters with 18 credits of Communications. The ability to use instructional technology is required. Occupational experience in the field. Experience with Canvas or other online course management tools. College level teaching experience, online experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written. The ability to work with a diverse population of faculty, staff, and students.
