Assistant​/Associate Professor of Occupational Therapy

Shenandoah University’s Department of Occupational Therapy is accepting applications for a Visiting Faculty Role in the OTDProgram. This is a full-time benefited position located at our Health Professions Building in Winchester, Virginia.

  Instruction: Teach and coordinate assigned OTD courses, seamlessly blending asynchronous online modules with highly engaging, hands-on laboratory session son campus on Tuesdays.

  Advising:Advise and mentor a diverse cohort of doctoral students, guiding their academic progression, professional development, and integration of program values, while mentoring capstones or scholarly work aligned with your unique expertise.

• Education: An earned doctoral degree (e.g., OTD, PhD,EdD) awarded by an institution accredited by a USDE-recognized institutional accrediting agency
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist
• Credentialing: Current National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) certification and eligibility for/possession of an active occupational therapy license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
• Core Competencies: Evidence of effective communication,collaboration, professional responsibility, and commitment tostudent learning

• Prior teaching experience at the post-baccalaureate level,particularly within a hybrid or online educational framework
• Documented expertise in one or more of the following areas:pediatrics, neurological rehabilitation, or mental health
• Active membership in the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA)
