Summary:

This position provides instruction and other support in the place of the regular teacher.

Qualifications:

• High School degree/GED required
• Must be at least 18 years of age for elementary and 21 years of age for secondary. Additionally, must have completed two years of college (48 credit hours) or have two years of experience working with children
• Able to maintain order and discipline in a classroom
• Able to respond to emergency situations in a calm manner
• Able to follow oral and written directions and establish effective working relationships with staff and students
• Able to operate computer technology as directed by the school and as required to follow lesson plans
• Must possess good moral character
• Must pass criminal background checks

Pay Rate:

Substitute teachers holding a four year degree or higher (degreed substitutes) receive $130.00 per day. All other substitute teachers (non-degreed) are paid $115.00 per day.
