Continuous Improvement Manager
We’re looking for a results‑driven Continuous Improvement Manager to accelerate performance across Trex’s operations. In this role you will lead Kaizen activities, build a dedicated CI team, and implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives that drive cost savings and process excellence.
Responsibilities- Put safety first – always.
- Lead and foster a people‑first culture.
- Plan, organize, and lead Kaizen events and process improvement activities.
- Build a diverse team to establish the Continuous Improvement department.
- Execute projects following the 8‑step Toyota Production System and Six Sigma methodology.
- Provide CI support to production employees, managers, and engineering departments.
- Perform value‑stream mapping and complete value‑engineering activities.
- Design, develop, and implement improved workflows.
- Partner with Process Engineering and Production to create and update work instructions, visual aids, and standards.
- Train employees in Lean principles (5/6S, 8 Wastes, poka‑yoke) and formal problem‑solving techniques.
- Develop and implement a CI internship/co‑op program.
- Build and maintain standardized time‑study documentation and conduct time studies.
- Identify opportunities and complete projects aligned with annual CI goals.
Manage and provide ongoing performance coaching and professional development for a team of 2–5 direct reports, including Continuous Improvement Engineer I–III.

ExperienceBachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related technical field. Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing organization and three or more years of Six Sigma experience. Preferably experience facilitating Kaizen events or leading continuous improvement projects in engineering.
SalaryBase Salary Range: $113,000 – $145,000 annually. Salaries are based on skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. This position may earn additional compensation through an annual/sales bonus.
