Design Engineer

Metromont Corporation, a leader in the precast concrete industry, is seeking a skilled Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. This role is pivotal in designing durable precast concrete structures that meet both aesthetic and functional requirements for diverse construction projects. As a Design Engineer at Metromont, you will leverage your technical skills to create detailed designs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to sustainable building solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed structural designs and layouts for precast concrete products and building systems.
• Collaborate effectively with architects, contractors, and project managers to determine project needs and design specifications.
• Utilize CAD software and BIM modeling tools to create precise engineering drawings and models.
• Perform static and dynamic structural analysis to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
• Optimize designs for manufacturability and efficiency of installation.
• Liaise with production teams to oversee the transfer of design plans from the concept stage through to fabrication.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure accurate implementation and adherence to design specifications.
• Stay abreast of technology advancements and industry trends related to precast concrete products.

Required Skills

• Proficient in Auto
• CAD, Revit, and other design software.
