We currently have a client in Winchester, VA looking for an EKG Technologist (Traveling EKG Technologist). The role involves continuously monitoring patients, ensuring appropriate and timely responses to alarms, verifying correct rhythm identification, and maintaining EKG monitor alarms.

13 Weeks (Temp) – 4x10 day shifts.

• Proven 2 years of experience as EKG Technologist.
• Must possess independent decision‑making skills.
• Strong understanding of patient safety and precautions.
• Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients and families.
• Ability to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.
• Capable of maintaining regular attendance.

Work Experience:

At least 2 years of experience.

• Observe cardiac rhythm of patients on monitor.
• Run and post rhythm strips at designated intervals.
• Interpret rhythms and validate computer readout.
• Check and verify lead placement on patients.
• Compare posted strip to previous strip and notify nursing staff of changes.
• Notify nursing staff of any change in cardiac rhythm.
• Test equipment for proper working order.
• Maintain work area clean and orderly.
