About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support the FBI's Technology Innovation Section. In this role, you will be at the forefront of the Bureau's digital transformation, developing sophisticated cloud service delivery models (PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, DaaS) and migrating mission-critical applications to highly secure AWS enclaves (SC2S/C2S).
Working within a SAFe 6.0 environment, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the FBI's technology remains resilient, scalable, and secure against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement cloud service delivery models including PaaS, IaaS, SaaS, and DaaS to support FBI innovation goals.
- Lead the migration of legacy on-premises applications to the FBI's specialized AWS enclaves (SC2S/C2S).
- Perform deep-dive debugging and troubleshooting of complex cloud stacks to maintain system performance and uptime.
- Implement Dev Sec Ops best practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate security controls and deployment pipelines.
- Operate within an Agile SAFe 6.0 framework to deliver iterative software products that meet high availability requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design software products specifically optimized for classified cloud environments.
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or cloud development.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience working specifically within government AWS SC2S and C2S enclaves.
- Demonstrated experience implementing Dev Sec Ops best practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.
- Proven proficiency in designing and developing software products tailored for cloud-native environments.
- Current SAFe for Architects (ARCH) certification.
- Experience working with the FBI's Secret Cloud on Premise (SCOP) infrastructure.
- Expertise in performing cost-benefit analyses and optimization for cloud-agnostic services.
- Advanced knowledge of automated security orchestration and compliance-as-code.
- Experience with high-availability architecture design for national security missions.
